Special judicial tribunals and disciplinary committees
Members of the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and of Bonaire, Saint Eustatius and Saba, in accordance with legal stipulations, take part in the following judicial (sometimes disciplinary) tribunals:
- Arbitration Court for Civil Servants
- Medical Board
- Supervisory Board (Lawyers)
- Board of Appeal (Lawyers)
- Supervisory Board (Notaries)
Disciplinary Committees
Disciplinary committees see to it that the members of a particular professional group adhere to the rules of conduct for their profession. This concerns professions such as doctors and notaries. Disciplinary committees aim to defend the rights of those who make use of the services of the professional group. Disciplinary committees also help maintain the ‘honor and dignity’ of the profession.
