Suspension Inspector General at the Public Health Inspectorate will not be postponed
Willemstad - On November 19th , 2018, the Government suspended the Inspector General from the Public Health Inspectorate for a month. The Inspector General requested the Civil Service Tribunal to postpone this decision.
In the opinion of the Civil Service Tribunal, the Government could reasonably suspend the Inspector General now that a breach of trust has arisen between him and the Minister of Health, Environment and Nature. The interest of the Inspector General in the continuation of his work does not prevail over the public interest served by his suspension. For the time being it cannot be judged that the decision to suspend the Inspector General was taken in violation of the law. This is only a preliminary judgment of the General Court that anticipates a pending case.
